What is Voipstream Hosted PBX?
Voipstream Hosted PBX (also known as Voice over IP) is a leading edge communications technology that provides large pbx functionality without the need to have one installed in your office. We host the phone system for you, giving you some important advantages. Increased Savings Voipstream leverages a single circuit to provide both voice and computer connectivity networks. This gives you several advantages such as a single bill and the abillity to program your phone from your computer. Never Miss a Call With a traditional phone system, if your phone service or T1 stops working, calls are not able to get through to your system. Callers will hear a busy signal or "Out of Service" message. But with a Voipstream Hosted PBX, even if your T1 goes out, we can re-route your calls, so that callers will still be able to reach you on your cell phone or leave a voicemail. This means your callers will never hear a busy signal or operator error message again. Gain Portability Not having a phone system in your office means you can plug your phone into any ethernet or internet connection and your phone will maintain its identity and features. You can move your phone from desk to desk, or from the office to your home, and it will maintain its associated numbers, voicemail and programming. Features Available Now you can gain all the features of a large phone system in your office, without the cost. Features offered by Voipstream include:
How Does Voipstream Hosted PBX Work? Voipstream Hosted PBX (also known as Voice over Internet Protocol) utilizes a single circuit to connect your office to our very sophisticated phone system. Telephone calls and internet traffic are transmitted through your T1 circuit to us. The data is then sorted by type. Phone calls are then sent out as regular phone calls. Data is sent to the internet. All of this sorting and sending happens without any drop in speed of service or quality of calls.
How Is Voipstream Hosted PBX Priced? With Voipstream Hosted PBX, there is no upfront capital outlay to purchase or lease a large amount of equipment. This means a substantial savings for companies on tight budgets. Voipstream Hosted PBX offers your business a flat monthly fee per user. If your company has outgrown its existing equipment and wants to avoid an unnecessary capital expense, choosing a Voipstream Hosted PBX means you don't have to pay for extra equipment until your business needs it. Are my phone calls private? Absolutely. Because Voipstream utilizes a dedicated T1 circuit, calls made from your system are kept private and are encrypted. Hackers can not break in and listen to your calls. What kind of voice call quality can I expect? Since calls travel over a high speed network, call quality is superior to regular phone lines resulting in better sound. What kind of equipment do I need? Plug in your IP telephone and go. We will install the dedicated T1 and router in your office. If you change desks, simply take your phone with you and all of your programming will remain the same. Take your phone home with you and plug it into your home internet connection to place calls as though you never left the office. Can I keep my telephone number? Yes. Everglades Technologies will work with you to port your telephone numbers and ensure a seamless transition during your install. How does 911 Emergency Services work with Voipstream Hosted PBX? When phone calls are made to emergency services, those calls are tracked to a physical address. It's important for you to know that your office phone will be assigned to your company's address. Regardless of where you are, and no matter where you plug in your phone, if you call 911, help will be dispatched to your company's address. Therefore, Everglades recommends that you do not use your IP phone to call 911 if you are not in your office. Is Voipstream Hosted PBX less expensive than a Traditional Phone System? When you add it all up, Voipstream Hosted PBX is about 20% less expensive in an office setting of 10-20 users. Here's why:
What happens if my T1 circuit goes down? Calls will always arrive at our system.
